Another Project sort of finished

I started a purse last weekend, and finished it, well sort of. I knitted all the pieces, now I just need to buy a lining fabric, yarn needles, and then sew everything together. My mom won't get it til Christmas. I am thinking of making myself a warm wishes jacket that I found the pattern for the Warm Wishes Jacket in my current issue of Creative Knitting. It looks like it will be fun to knit, I know hwo to do seed stitch, but will use my left over Satin Silk yarn to practice the box stitch.

Little knitting

I've been doing some knitting here and there, but not much. I have been working on Roger's blanket. I finally got more Lion Brand Homespun Baby, to sew Alys poncho together. I still haven't sewed my slippers together eitehr. Think that's next on my list, but we'll see how much of Roger's blanket I can get done. I may take the third panel to Angie's with me when I go on Wed. I have three squares almost done, so I still have a ways to go on it. I have to go shopping today sometime (hopefully after Aly's done iwth her pancakes) so think I'll take two panels of the blanket with me, one I'm working on and one I'm done with so I can check the length. I will hopefully finish the third panel today or sometime this week.

To Wrap or not to wrap

I have frogged my "wrap" at least five times now. It's getting ridiculous. I am such a perfectionist with things it's not funny. I didn't like the way wrap was looking at first so I frogged the whole thing, and I was ALMOST done with it. That was pretty stupid now that I look back at it. I like the way teh moss stitch is looking. When I finsih this I will have to get more yarn possibly for the lace edging I'm sure. I may do that tomorrow, all depends on my grandmother and how the weeding at her house goes in the morning.

Ponchos and wraps

Well I am on the second panel of Aly's poncho. If I don't run out of yarn I'll have it finished by tomorrow, well the panel. I probably won't sew it til Sunday. If I don't finish the panel tomorrow then I'll get it done next week.

I started swatching a diagonal rib pattern for some wraps I want to do. One of them I want to do in some different colors. I like the Bernet Softee Chunky yarn but we'll see. That's teh yarn I'm doing Roger's blanket in as well as my slippers in. I also like the way that the Caron Simply Soft Plum Wine color knits up as well. So we'll see.

Mindless knitting

Today's going to be fun. I am tryign to stay out of the family room since there's a ton of drywall and insullation that are covering the floor, and the leaves and twigs that came through Monday when a tree fell on the house.

I did a poncho for a friend's daughter and she uses it as a blankie. It's too cute. Aly said she wanted one, so I finally figured that while the house is in disrepair (well til the contractor can start working on the house), I'll just do some mindless stuff. I may start some cable clutch purses at some point, but who knows. It's not going to be anytime soon I don't think.

No knitting today

After walking in the town and country days parade for Aly's dance studio, I don't exactly feel up to knitting. I still have to sew my slippers together, since I knit all the squares and they're done. Sweing a knitting project is different ;). I'll post pictures when they're done.

I did finish Aly's slippers and they turned out cute. After mine are sewed together, I need to work on Roger's blanket, and then possibly work on a sweater to wear to see some friends. We'll see though. Dad needs to take me to either Walmart or Jo Ann's so I can get yarn and circ needles. I just have my straight size 8s and need some circ size 6s.

This is what Aly's slippers look like, of course on HER feet :)
